And there was light----

Oh, hello. I didn't see you there.

My name is Christian and I'm a game programmer.

Despite this looking like the first post, this blog is actually older than it seems. I prefer counting from the emergence of one integral anomaly to the emergence of the next, in which case this is the sixth version.

My first couple of blogging experiences started with Blogger. Afterwards, I spent quite some time using both Wordpress.com and Wordpress.org. I discontinued my last blog a couple of years ago and, upon having some time to reflect about it, I started to miss it and decided to give this whole thing another shot. Obviously I did the most sensible thing: start it over, from scratch.

This time, I want to try a platform that has been rising in popularity for the past few years: Ghost. So far, I  find it fits the level of minimalism and usefulness that I'm looking for – at least for now. Also, as of the time of writing this, I'm using a custom version of Argon, a free and open source theme for Ghost.

This time, I'd like to do things a bit differently.

First and foremost, I mean to use this (new) blog as a way to keep track of what I learn and experience. However, I want to keep it public, in case any of my ramblings prove useful for others.

Furthermore, instead of sticking to a schedule and (sooner or later) falling off the wagon, I will try to write as often as I feel to.

The purpose of those two tenets is to remove any pressure or sense of urgency I might have to write. I'll do it at my own pace and try not to rush to meet a deadline.

Having said that, I want to keep this blog focused in the following topics: programming & software development, games & game development; plus any hobbies and things I might find amusing.

Will this finally be the blog that I have always wanted to write?
